Been receiving lots of messages lately on the directions to Misarang Imsil Cheese Pizza (미사랑 임실지즈피자) in Jeongbalsan, Seoul.

I've posted the instructions on how to get there in one of my comments below the post, but some of you could have missed it. Guess I'll make a special post for the directions.

Well.. The last time I've been there was about three years ago but I'll try my best to help :)

Firstly, to make your trip easier, you have to understand this map:

** Note: I've highlighted the stations in pink :)

Basically, seoul subway has eight links. I usually start my journey from Seoul Station. I would say, that is the central station for me. If you look at the map, each line has different colors.

Jeongbalsan station is at Line 3 (orange line - heading towards DAEHWA. Seoul Station is at Line 4 (light blue line).

From Seoul Station, take Line 4 - heading towards Danggogae. Get down at Chungmuro Station(the 3rd station after Seoul Station) and change to Line 3 - heading towards Daehwa. Jeongbalsan is the 3rd last station.

Jeongbalsan is actually a huge place. It's quite hard for me to explain the exact location of the shop. But no worries, it's quite famous there. If you can't speak korean, just print out pictures of the location posted in my blog and ask the people around there. This picture would be helpful:

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah : Touring Around

After the island visit, we took the last boat back to Jesselton Point and walked to Warisan Square. It isn't that far after all. Hmm, 15 minutes walk maybe? :D

You'll walk pass this infamous roundabout on the way to Warisan Square

The shuttle ride is free but you'll have to register your name at the bus stop. Jot down your name and your hotel + room number to the people in charge there and they'll pass you the tickets. This is to ensure that the locals don't abuse the free facility, and they wish to give the priority to the tourists. So nice right? :D Oh if the bus is full, you'll have to wait for the following bus as the seats are limited too. To be safe, just be at the bus stop 20 mins earlier.

We had a short nap as soon as we got back to our room and freshened up. Exhausted. :p

Woke up for dinner and walked around the mall to kill time, went back to the hotel again, and called it a day :D

The next morning, we checked out of the hotel around 10am. We opted for the luggage storage service offered by Tune Hotels and paid RM2 per luggage. Refer here for the fee schedule.

We took the free shuttle to town again to have the last tour around Kota Kinabalu. Restaurants in town are mostly "pork free or lard free". It was so hard for us to look for a halal decent restaurant for brunch. We did some research on the internet and came across Fong Ip cafe, Halal, with good review :)

Till today, i'm still missing the yummy dimsum on the left.
Not sure what is it called, but I called it the "bunjut" dimsum. Ahaha :p

After filling up our tummy with those yummy delicacies, we decided to walk around the town, doing things that locals don't do :p. Visiting the famous tourist attraction spots and historical spots.

We then headed back to 1Borneo. We visited Ron's outlet --- Distro Republic to buy some awesome shirts from him.

After bidding farewell, we collected our luggage from the hotel reception counter and waited for our airport shuttle at the lobby.

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah : Manukan Island

next morning, Ron brought us to Gaya Street for the Sunday Market. Objective: Souvenir shopping! :D

I bought these lovebirds for mummy's plant.
So cute right! I know I know! :3

After shopping, Ron dropped us at the Jesselton Point to catch the boat to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. The marine park is a cluster of islands comprising Pulau Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik and Pulau Sulug.

Unfortunately it was raining. We decided to visit one island only, due to the bad weather. Luckily I've done some research earlier. If you were to visit one island only, which island could it be? ---- It's definitely Manukan Island! It has the best facilities and accommodation, and also one of the best islands to enjoy sunlight, beach & watersport. :)

I went to the information counter to enquire about the boat to Manukan Island. The "abang" (brother) at the counter was so friendly and helpful. He briefed us about the islands and activities available. We weren't ready for snorkeling and other water activities, and so we told him, only island visiting would be good enough. Guess what, we were given student rates coz we brought our student card with us! :p

Student rate = child rate = half price! Tadaaaaa! :D

Approximately 20 minutes later, we reached Manukan Island finally. Excited! Excited!

We were awed by the breathtaking scenery. The clean seawater, with corals and fishes swimming around. Like..oh my, places like this exists, in Malaysia! :D Guess I'll let the pictures below explain the awesomeness :D

I'm not a beach person, but for a moment I said to myself. God, can I just stay here? I don't want to go back to the hectic life in Selangor.

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah : AirAsia & Tune Hotels

We had a trip to Kota Kinabalu. It was my second time visiting KK :). The first time was for work, and this time, it's TOTAL LEISURE. Wohoooooo! :D

AirAsia and AirAsia Go is having big promotions that time. We managed to grab a few good deals --- RM350 per px for 3 days 2 nights, which consisted of:

-- Return flight tickets
-- In-flight meals (return)
-- Accommodation @ Tune Hotels: 1 Borneo, Kota Kinabalu.
-- Charter from the airport to Tune Hotels
-- Charter from the Tune Hotels to the airport

Awesome yehh? :D

I pre-booked Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak, served with Old Town White Coffee. The nasi lemak has never failed to satisfy my hungry tummy on board. Hee :D

It took about 30 minutes from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is located within 1Borneo, East Malaysia's largest shopping mall.

As you can see, there's 7Eleven in the lobby itself. So convenient to grab daily necessities! (drinking water, snacks, etc)

The luxurious bed, very very very comfortable :D

I purchased the towel rental and toiletries add-on.
Costs about RM5.30 (including tax)

There's a huge mirror right in front of the bathroom.

This is the bathroom. Psst, do take note that the bathroom door has no lock. Ngehehehe :>

There's a hairdryer installed in the bathroom. Only Tune Hotels Kota Kinabalu is offering free usage of hairdryer. You will be charged RM1 per day in other Tune Hotels.

Oh I love the powerful hot shower!

And not forgetting, the entertainment available in the room. But we did not purchase the entertainment package (RM6.90 per day) as we were not in the room most of the time. Exploring outside of course! :D

Btw, we paid for the air conditioning (RM 13.62 -12 hours per day). The hotel provided the ceiling fan but believe me, you will need the air conditioning anyway coz the room is windowless and it'll be super stuffy and hot.

The Cashier

I went to get some groceries from Jusco last night. After grabbing a few items, I headed to the cashier. There's this lady cashier at the counter, with sourish facial expression, no smile at all.

She took the items from my basket and stuffed them into a plastic bag, without sorting them. You know, cashiers usually will sort the items accordingly. Food, detergents, bread, fruits. And not just lumping everything into one huge plastic bag. Guess what, she threw my bread into a plastic bag containing 10 pieces of oranges, and some other fruits. Immediately I told her to put the loaf of bread into a separate bag as the fruits will "lenyek" the bread. (common sense okay) Unsatisfied with my words, she actually "pinched" and pulled the bread from the plastic bag into another. I've chosen the "best shaped" loaf of bread from the rack and she damaged it.

Speechless, I paid for my items and walked away. Oh my! This is my first time encountering such cashier.

What was she thinking?

During my recess time back in my schooling days, I usually bought my meals at this Makcik's canteen stall selling "nasi bungkus". We call her "Mek" as we don't really know her name, till now and that's what other canteen staff call her too. Hehe. Perhaps she was in her 60's that time.

One day, I couldn't decide what to eat that I kept standing in front of her stall, looking at the "lauk" served behind the glass cabinet.

Then she said to me in Kelantanese, "Mek, nok makey gapo?". I got surprised, and I looked at her, "Mek, bakpo mek panggey sayo mek. Sayo tok tuo lagi ni. Jangelah panggey sayo mek." I frowned.

"Bukelah, sapo oyak Mek tu panggelan utk oghe tuo. Kito panggey Mek sbb kito saye ko oghe tuh. Ado oghe panggey nenek dio mek, ado oghe panggey bini dio mek. Ish awok nih. Ni mek panggey awok mek sbb mek saye ko awok laaa," She said to me and smiled.

All this while I've been thinking that Mek is a term for someone older. eg: aunties, granny. So I learned a new word that day, "Mek" is actually a term for someone we love and care!

Since then I love using the word "Mek" for closest friends and all the people I cared most. So don't be sad or awkward if someone calls you "Mek" coz he/she loves and cares for you!

In just a blink of eye, it's already mid-March. Holy shit!

Time flies...but....that FAST? :O

This blog has been abandoned for a month. Sorry sorry. Been busy, or maybe, am too tired of what's happening lately.

Nothing much has changed in me so far...well except for my hair. Hee hee. Kinda bored with my long hair actually...well...after having them for...4-5 years? :)

Currently in love with my short hair. Less messiness, lesser time to manage my hair before going to work :D Heee. Perhaps I'll keep my hair short for quite some time now.

Working life has been great so far. The project has brought me to almost all states in Malaysia. Filling in the places I've never been to. From west to east, then north to east. I'm fully contented, finally first life mission accomplished in 2010.

Actually I'm having something well planned for myself and was about to get prepared for it. Well, shit happens. Due to some unavoidable reasons, I guess it'll be the best decision, so far, for me to postpone it to some other times, with better opportunities. :) Hope it'll wait, till then.

People around, they come and go. Some for reasons, some without any, or perhaps, you won't even know why they walked out of your life. Appreciate while you still have them close to you. Guess I'll have to learn to let things go too. But some are just too hard to be forgotten. Time will help, hopefully. After all, you can't be expecting people to treat you like how you treated them. We're simply different in our own ways.

We'll never know what will happen in the future. Just be strong and hope for the best, yet always be prepared for the worst.

It's so hard to believe that someone you've just visited recently has now gone forever. She was talking about her daughter's marriage, about her retirement, and even planned to visit us here in Selangor after her retirement.

Visiting Rumah Gadang: Rumah Adat Minangkabau

On our way to Bukittinggi, we stopped by The Minangkabau Cultural Documentation and Information Centre (Pusat Dokumentasi dan Informasi Kebudayaan Minangkabau) located in Padang Panjang.

And this is my first time stepping into a "Rumah Gadang" (big house), the traditional house of the Minangkabau.

Oh, you can also get dressed up in the Minangkabau traditional costume and take pictures around the "Rumah Gadang"; for a fee~ hehe

From Kuala Lumpur to Padang.
Monday, November 29, 2010

I had my first trip to Indonesia last week. Heee :3 We departed from Malaysia at 7.50am and arrived at Minangkabau International Airport, Padang at 8.00am (Padang local time). The time difference between Malaysia and Padang is one hour :) Fyi, the Minangkabau people in Negeri Sembilan are originally from Padang.

Upon our arrival, we were greeted by people from the travel agency.

The tourist guide brought us to a restaurant located not far away from the airport. I was hungry, dead hungry; coz I missed my breakfast that morning. Haha :p

After lunch, we hopped onto the bus and started our journey to Bukittinggi, Padang; one of the largest city in West Sumatra.

Sarawak; Land of the Hornbills

Hanim and I were assigned to be trainers under MDeC during the 1Malaysia Broadband Carnival 2010 in Kuching, Sarawak. After 22 years of living as a Malaysian, I finally have the opportunity to step into the Land of the Hornbills :D

We stayed at Merdeka Palace, definitely an awesome hotel to opt for if you're in Kuching. Seriously :)

I had to admit, I had fun playing with the controller :P

And so this is what we do from morning till evening.

We closed the booth in the evening, and off we go to explore Kuching!

10 minutes of walking, we reached the Kuching Waterfront and decided to take the **penambang to see what's across the river.

This visiting pass was given to us upon arrival and we're suppose to return it to the immigration before you travel out of Sarawak. So make sure you keep it safely ya. :D

In fact, there is no BAD religion.
It's the people themselves who did not practice it right.

If you are a Buddhist, be a Good Buddhist.

And when I say "Good",
doesn't mean that you have to be an angel, a saint or preacher;
but to practice the teachings right.

First ward experience

Was admitted to the hospital few days back and yeah this is my first ward experience. But for sure, I'll never want to go back there again. Everything was fine, the nurses, the doctors... but not the syringes :(

THAT thing, i hate most.

I was given three bottle of drips and 7 injections, as far as i could remember. The nurses took my blood twice for the blood test, which means, additional two holes to my skin :|

And not forgetting, some souvenirs from the hospital;

I've studied real hard for my degree just to get exempted from the loan repayment. And disappointed to find out that the offer is no longer valid for loan taken after July 2005. I took mine in 2006.

Now, they're giving this exemption again, but only applied to students who have graduated with first class honours, STARTING from 1 January 2010.

I graduated with first class honours too, but in August 2009. Thus, I'm not eligible to apply for this exemption.

In short, I have to pay RM50,000 for my degree loan, just because I've graduated 4 months earlier.

Life is so unfair.

With that huge amount of money, I could already get myself a good postgraduate degree.

Till one day, B sent her an SMS;
"Hey, I need your favour. Can you please..bla bla bla bla bla".

How would C felt at that moment?

A sent her an SMS too, that night;
"Hey long time no see. How are you? How's life? Let's go out for a drink some day. I think there's a lot of catching up to do :) Psst, I miss you."

And how would C felt at that moment?

See the difference between both situation?

Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables / Sayur Campur Goreng

Ingredients:-
1) Garlic
2) Bombay onions
3) Cauliflower
4) Carrots
5) Canned button mushrooms
6) French bean

Method:-
Fry bombay onions and garlic in oil for a few seconds.

Add hard vegetables (cauliflower, carrot) and stir fry, followed by the softer ones. (button mushrooms, French bean)

Add sauce (chicken stock) and a lil bit of sugar then mix together.

Add water and stir until it boils.

Tadaaaa :DDD it is now ready to be served.

Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE : Feedback

I've used the Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE for two days. Applied once in the morning and once at night. Surprisingly, the moisturizer works on me! No more skin tightness after washing my face. Less oily, no stickiness at all :D

I'm currently using the L'OREAL Hydrafresh Anti-Shine range. Honestly, it doesn't help much on my oily skin. After I got back from lunch, my face would still be very oily. :|

Planning to change to Eucerin after I've finished my L'OREAL. *thumbs up

Just got back from a work trip in Kelantan. It was fun. Really fun :D but yet super tiring, being under the hot sun for several hours.

Feel like staying in a hotel room for a night. Stay off the handphone and PC. Set the air-con on the lowest temperature. Watching Astro on bed, wrapped with thick soft comfy quilt. Having hot shower before going to bed and sleep till 11am the next morning.

Simple isn't it? But that's so heaven for me now.

Can't believe I'm actually looking at the hotel rates right now. Guess I'm really desperate to runaway from the heat.

Any hotel owner willing to sponsor me a night at their hotel?

I did something different this weekend; finallyy :D

We went to Skytrex Adventure at Taman Pertanian Malaysia located in Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam, Shah Alam.

We have to pay RM3 for the entrance fee to Taman Pertanian, and RM45 for Extreme Challenge. Yes, EXTREME CHALLENGE.

The Skytrex park is located 3 kilometers into the forest.

After 3 hours of adventure in the forest, finally we reached the last checkpoint. Didn't take many photos during the adventure as I left everything in the locker, including my handphone. Yeah...afraid that I might lost it somewhere in the jungle, or it might flew out of my pocket during flying fox. Haha XD.

We did 21 challenges all together :D

I strongly recommend this to anyone of you who wants to experience something extraordinary, rather than just being bored at home. It was so freaking scary, yet we made it the the last checkpoint without taking the "Chicken Exit". The feeling of accomplishing all challenges is simply priceless :)

Oh remember to cut your toenails, especially ladiessss! I broke mine... Ouchh!

Just got back from my site visit in Terengganu. It was my first time visiting Terengganu by flight :D. Yeap yeap, went there for work, but yet, we enjoyed the trip, very much. :D :D :D

And so we arrived at the Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu at around 1230pm. We collected our rent car and headed to check-in at the hotel in town.

After leaving our luggage in the hotel room, we immediately started our first site visit in Jalan Bandar, Kampung Cina, continued with the second site, located in Kampung Paloh.

It was already 530pm when we've completed the second visit so Aishah and I decided to call it a day as it's already too late for our third site visit . :) We then visited Taman Tamadun Islam, 10 minutes drive away from Kampung Paloh. Paid RM15 for the entrance fee.

We only had an hour to explore the place coz it closes at 7pm. The people in charge was kind enough to let us cycle around for FREE :D. Else it'll be RM5 per hour for the Bicycle Ride.

With the help of the bicycle, somehow we managed to tour around in less than an hour ^^

Oh, we're given the complimentary RM3 meal voucher too. So we had our tea time at Bbenteng Restaurant, located next to the jetty.

Just before we started our journey back to the hotel, we stopped by Masjid Kristal a.k.a. Crystal Mosque, also located in Taman Tamadun Islam.

Early next morning, we started our journey to our last site, located in Besut, Terengganu. We drove through Jalan Pantai. Yeap, along the beach. :D It took us around 5 hours to complete this "mission".

After lunching in Kuala Terengganu, we managed to stop by Muzium Negeri Terengganu to collect some information for our research.

We then visited Pantai Teluk Ketapang, located 10 minutes drive away from the airport as we were still very early for our flight back to Kuala Lumpur.

Had a conversation with two babes during lunch today. We were talking about this girlfriends and boyfriends relationship thingy ---- Never leave your partner in a "Just ignore. She'll be okay later" situation if you both just had a fight or quarrel; knowing that she's in a "merajuk" mode, although it isn't your fault.

Anything could happen within that period you know.

We, girls...THINK a lot. Maybe not all, but mostly. Many things could run in our mind at once.

"So he doesn't love me as much anymore"
"Am I no longer important to him?"
"Am I the one in the wrong?"
"Is he tired of the relationship?"

Imagine putting her in that situation for an hour :). If she takes it positively, she'll be okay the day after. But if she could not go through it, things could get complicated, and that's the end.

Girls are hard to please?

Well....sometimes what girls need is just a little bit more of attention, to believe that you still care.

I was in Farleys Kindergarten back in 1992 till 1994. Beautiful memories I had there. I would say...it's a place where everything started.

This post isn't meant to change the world. Not meant to create any controversy. Not meant to brainwash anybody either. This is just a story; something I've kept long, that I've decided to share with my blog readers.

Some people just can't accept me, befriending everyone, regardless their races and religion. And I can't accept them, being so conservative and making issues out of it. Don't drag politics too; please.

Why can't people from different races and religion be close friends?
Why can't we stay together?
Why can't we often hang out together?
Why can't we understand each other?
Why can't we?

I'm proud to say; I've experienced everything above.

Does it really matter whether you're a Chinese, a Malay or an Indian?

Does it?

You know what, we might be different in various aspects, but actually, we're not that different at all. A pair of eyes, a pair of ears, a nose, a mouth. Warm red blooded. We're all the same inside. I know I know, heard that before yeah? Tarzan-ish? Pocahontas-ish? But how many of us really understand it?

Some people said they don't mind this racism issue. But how many of them really meant it? Or is it just a way of showing others that you're not one of the conservative minded people? Trying to be cool?

I'm a Chinese, and I'm proud of it. So what if I have a lot of non-Chinese friends, more than my Chinese friends. That doesn't stop me from being a Chinese either. Being a Chinese doesn't mean that I have to go gambling, drinking and clubbing often --- although I'm allowed to. Being a Chinese doesn't mean that I have to stay in the group of my own races only either.

People usually associate my doings with my group of friends. Tell you what, it's not because I'm influenced by my friends.

It's the choice of my own.

It isn't easy to ignore what people has to say about you; it isn't easy to explain yourself to everyone either. It's even worse when they just don't understand you.

The best thing to do is, just be yourself, always.

I'm proud of what I have and what I am now, coz I'm able to see what many out there can't see. I've experienced lotsa thing that many would never thought of.

I dare to say, not many could walk in my shoes.

I'm lucky, I'm thankful.

I'm different, I'm gifted :)

I'm a noob...when it comes to cosmetics and make up. I don't really like the feeling of having all those colourful stuff on my skin coz it irritates me.

But now, guess I have to get used to these since I've started working;

the basic stuff;
mascara, eye liner(s), compact eyeshadow(s) and face powder from Maybelline, The Face Shop and Skin Food.

but somehow...suddenly...

I'm currently in love with...

then I started buying SilkyGirl eyeshadows
